Halle Kott recently completed her Masters’ degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Concordia University. Her thesis titled The Weight of Concealment: Atmospheric Influences on Menstrual Experience in Sport examines how an atmosphere of concealment permeates sporting environments, orienting athletes toward menstrual concealment. Her scholarly interests sit at the intersection of sensory anthropology, anthropology of the body and feminist science and technology studies. Alongside her graduate research she works with the Research Chair on Gambling to pursue her interest in questions of risk, harm, and inequality.
