Ming Wong Fearon is a communication designer and Master of Design student at Concordia University. Her thesis research is a meditation on the power of intentional display and focuses on ways to create virtual exhibition content that complements the embodied engagement of a physical exhibition experience. Her studies will culminate in a digital research-creation project called “Museum of Health,” in which she will curate, design, and present virtual exhibition content on a range of health subjects including herbalism, toxic exposures, and bodily mechanics.
Ming holds a BA in Media Studies from the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter, where she was a member of the Thomas Hunter Honors Program and served as Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper. Prior to beginning the MDes program at Concordia, she spent a decade designing visual identities for exhibitions and public programs at cultural institutions in New York City, most notably for Creative Time, a public art nonprofit founded in 1974, and the American Museum of Natural History.
