Madelaine Caritas Longman is a Montreal-based writer and PhD candidate in Concordia’s interdisciplinary humanities program. She holds an MA in English (Creative Writing stream) from Concordia and a BA Honours in English (Creative Writing concentration) and a minor in Mandarin from the University of Calgary. Her writing has been published in Room, Lemon Hound, Prism, and elsewhere. Currently, her line of research/creation focuses on using experimental writing to delve into art history and sociology, examining the social and cultural factors which shape understandings of art and vandalism, and exploring the overlap between these two categories. Her research interests include affect, embodiment, neurodiversity, and deconstruction.
