Lauren Gomes is a PhD student in the Social and Cultural Analysis program in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from Western University in London, Ontario. Her MA research focused on the self-representation of conspiracy theorists on Twitter and the use of alternative knowledge sources in the propagation of Flat Earth conspiracies. Her recent research interests focus on sensory studies, digitally mediated sensory experiences, and transhumanism.
